Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. "2012" is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.
This film is based on the Mayan calender and what they've called the fifth era of humanity; ending in 2012, thus creating multiple predictions about the "end of the world". What is the plot, I don't know. they will for sure get all "eye-candy sequence" and try to base it around some important likable characters who witness these atrocities. But in real life if the world doesn't end by 2013, this film will be a big goof.
